The Retaliator is the United Earth Empire’s premiere, if aging, jump-capable heavy bomber. Massive formations of these spacecraft running long-range strike missions is not an uncommon site around the fringes of the empire. With a distinctive elongated silhouette that is dotted with turrets and carrying a massive bomb load, the Retaliator is an effective symbol of Imperial might. As such, they are the frequent centerpiece of Space Force recruiting posters. Retaliators are ground-based, with all but the largest carriers unable to operate them effectively. Heavily modified Retaliators are becoming commonplace on the civilian market as the design ages and earlier production runs are sold off en-mass. Outfitted to carry cargo instead of antimatter bombs and with the waste turret positions typically swapped for makeshift living quarters, they make a good medium freighter or a basic explorer. Some have even been converted into long-hop passenger spacecraft!

Every “Flyable” ship so far has been a Sub-Cap
In navel terms a capital ship is generally a leading or a primary ship in a naval fleet according to wikipedia with no formal definition regarding size so any ship could technically be a capital ship. Practically I would say the Constellation and the Retaliator could used as capital ships in a very small fleet.

Not a capital ship per se, but a proper heavy bomber; think B-52 “Stratofortress”.

Exactly. It would be awesome if they took heavy influences off of the WWII B-17G Flying Fortress. The only gun placement they’re missing I’d the quad .50s on the nose section.

You realize turret mounts are modifiable? You might just get your wish if there’s a quad firin’ gun mount.
Hate to be the Plane-crazy here but the B-17 had 3 manned .50′s in the nose. the B-24 had the quad .50 mount. (That and the B-26, but that was a medium bomber.)

I’m not. A bomber wouldn’t be pitted against the constellation. Now a carrier or other large ship should be worried however if more than a handful of these bad boys we’re charging at her.

I think simple is better, such as “Citizenship is Earned” or “Citizenship isn’t Free, it’s earned< or Citizenship is Earned, not Given" something more forward. And no exclamation point! lame.
I do not want any slogan. I want “Star Citizen” and some decent image.
Those are indeed some bad slogans.. But I don’t have the creative capacity to come up with something I would think is better.

My only problem with that is I live in an area where illegal immigration is a pretty hot topic, and I would be worried that people would misinterpret the shirt and get offended.

Ah so one is a “free slot”. 5x is max slots but only 4x installed with 2 guns per turret slot, that makes sense.
How bout 3 duel laser turrets = 6 total lasers and 2 fixed lasers total 8
or 3 dual turrets, and two single turrets, a little like the machinegun layout for certain models of the B-17:
dorsal turret: 2 guns, motorized turret
ventral ball turret: 2 guns, motorized turret
rear turret: 2 guns, motorized turret
waist guns: 1 gun each, manually handled
= 8 guns
We already know now that all turrets might not be created equal. The Constellation’s Class 4′s are huge compared to the Hornet’s Class 4′s – not even sure it’s possible to mount Behring V5 from the Constellation brochure on a Hornet turret.
The waist guns might count as 1 x class 4 slots. I wonder, with the bomber being bigger than the Constellation and the Constellation seemed to be too big to really support properly on the carrier, I wonder if the carrier in the trailer is the biggest carrier in game?

I think it’s a typo, and they mixed up the max lv 4 slots with the current amount of turrets it comes with on purchase.

eh…i think this should’ve been the silver card (maybe the platinum could be all silver / metal?).
also, what is the status of rsi add-ons? it’s been almost two weeks since you guys wanted them here as well as kickstarter. finally, we’ve been told the squadron 42 manual was in fact available as a digital add-on (only listed as physical), but no word on the price (assuming $10, but would like to know for sure). you should update the rsi kickstarter add-on page!
after you’ve caught your breath, update the stretch goals image and the ship document with the new ships?

Now that’s a new type of offensive weapon! We could start a whole new weapons industry. “Splat Weaponsystems” could sell the P00-S Gun…and of course the TP-12 EVMR (External Viewport Maintenance Robot).
