Umbra Hand / UMBRAHAND

We are a gendarmerie intelligence department composed of former military officers, forensics scientists, and police detectives.

Umbra Hand was established as a search and rescue organization. Officially billed as an international organization, we are actually a counter-terrorist network and anti-crime unit operating in the Public Safety Commission. Our jurisdiction exists under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and we answer only to the minister of defence. Most information about us remains highly classified and the Ministry of Internal Affairs does not comment on the details of our activities.

The public at large is unaware of our actual existence, though the government and other security sections are generally aware of us as a black operation unit. This allows us to operate independently from governmental oversight, cutting through red tape of bureaucracy.
