History

The Xi’An Advocacy Network, a militant Xi’An splinter group, had plagued the Stanton System for years. Their leader, a cunning Xi’An named Xi’an’tara, specialized in hit-and-run attacks on UEE shipping lanes, leaving a trail of wrecked hulls and grieving families.

Captain “Claw” Callisto, a decorated Human pilot with a fierce loyalty to the UEE, was haunted by one such attack. Xi’an’tara had personally led the raid that left Claw’s wife and daughter lost in the void. Disillusioned with the UEE’s slow bureaucracy, Claw left active service, piloting a heavily modified Freelancer in the fringes, hunting Xi’an pirates with a vengeance.

One day, a whispered rumor led Claw to a cantina on Crusader. News of a skilled Vanduul pilot, “Nightshade”, taking down Xi’An ships with ruthless precision. Claw found Nightshade, a young Vanduul female ostracized by her own people for sympathizing with the UEE. Nightshade, driven by a similar thirst for revenge against Xi’an’tara for a past injustice, agreed to an uneasy alliance.

Their first mission together was a daring raid on a Xi’An Advocacy Network shipyard, leaving behind a trail of smoldering wrecks and stunned onlookers. Word spread quickly of the unlikely duo, dubbed “The Claws of Justice” by sympathetic bar patrons. Soon, others joined them – a Tevarin engineer with a knack for jury-rigging salvaged tech, a Banu merchant with a network of informants, and a disgruntled UEE officer disillusioned with the higher command’s inaction.

They christened themselves “The Feline Fighters” – a name chosen by Nightshade, who admired the Earth predators for their stealth, agility, and ruthlessness. Operating outside the law, they became a thorn in Xi’an’tara’s side, taking down his outposts and disrupting his operations. While hunted by both the UEE and the Xi’An Advocacy Network, The Feline Fighters carved their own path, a symbol of rebellion against injustice in the vast expanse of the Stanton System.

Manifesto

We are the Feline Fighters, a breed forged in the fires of injustice. We are the silent stalkers in the shadows, the swift claws that strike without warning. We operate on the fringes, unbound by the sluggish claws of bureaucracy or the morality of the corrupt.

The galaxy is a cruel hunting ground. The fattened Tevarin cartels gorge on the weak, the Xi’An Advocacy Network tears at the fabric of peace, and the UEE, bloated and slow, struggles to contain the chaos. We see the suffering, the prey left defenseless. We are the answer.

Charter

I. The Mission

The Feline Fighters are a mercenary collective dedicated to upholding justice in the face of corruption and neglect. We operate outside the constraints of traditional law enforcement, targeting those who prey upon the vulnerable and disrupt the fragile balance of the galaxy.

II. The Code

Justice, Unchained: We prioritize the safety and well-being of the innocent above all else. Our targets are those who commit heinous acts, regardless of affiliation or power.

Cunning and Ferocity: We utilize our individual strengths and diverse backgrounds to achieve our objectives with precision and efficiency. Brute force is a last resort.

Loyalty and Unity: We operate as a pack, relying on unwavering loyalty, open communication, and mutual respect for success. Disagreements are settled within the group, with the leader having the final say.

Discretion and Honor: We maintain secrecy in our operations, protecting the identities of both ourselves and our clients. We never target civilians or engage in activities that jeopardize innocent lives. Spoils are divided fairly after each mission, with a portion reserved for charitable causes.
No Unnecessary Cruelty: We are not barbarians. While our methods are ruthless towards those who deserve it, we do not inflict unnecessary suffering.

III. Membership

Membership in the Feline Fighters is a privilege, not a right. Potential recruits are evaluated based on their skills, experience, moral compass, and ability to work effectively within a team. New members undergo a rigorous training period to ensure they understand the Code and can function flawlessly during missions.

IV. Leadership

The leader of the Feline Fighters is elected by a majority vote from the active members. The leader is responsible for mission planning, resource allocation, and dispute resolution.

V. Termination of Membership

Any member who violates the Code, betrays the team, or acts in a manner that jeopardizes the Feline Fighters’ reputation is subject to immediate expulsion.

VI. The Future

We are a living document, constantly adapting to the ever-changing realities of the galaxy. This Charter can be amended by a two-thirds majority vote of the active members, with proposed changes circulated and openly discussed beforehand.
