New United is one of the oldest news organizations in the United Empire of Earth (UEE). Founded in the 2100 as the United Times, it had a reputation of mostly objective reporting with a slight conservative bias. It was renamed United Times/Tribune after a merger in 2438, later shortened to United/Tribune in 2638. One of many news organizations to become a propaganda outlet during the Messer Era, it rebranded itself to New United in 2792 to distance itself from its past. Today, New United has regained its reputation for objectivity.
