OB Station Kobold is an observation platform located in the protected Osiris system. Situated in one of the Lagrange points of Etos (Osiris I), its mixture of scientific and military personnel are tasked with studying and protecting the planet's developing inhabitants. In 2939, the United Empire of Earth (UEE) military apprehended a smuggler who had captured a clutch of five adolescent Phare's Apes. The animals were deemed too injured to be returned to their planet and were rehabilitated aboard the station, where they continue to live and be studied.
