6. Board Members (Officers that serve on the board that oversee the corporation)

Ranks will be earned or given out to officers who have proven themselves through their actions, and achievements. The ranks will be further broken down on the forum.

  • Only the most trusted Senior Officers or Flag Officers can be granted roles.
  • Promotions can involve all senior officers to the one receiving the promotion.
  • Ranks will be covered more in-depth within the member forum.

For those wising to open diplomatic talks, please contact a Public Affairs Officer or a Flag Officer.

Operations Division (Division 1)

This division will handle the following aspects to help maintain operations and support the Fleet Operations.
  • Mining
  • Salvaging
  • Manufacturing
  • Trading
  • Building

When performing the above operations in the field, they can be referred to as wings, or operations. There can be several going on at one time, so it is recommended that the area they are operating in is posted in the appropriate area.

Only Select Senior Officers or higher can lead medium – large scale operations. Any rank can operate solo or in a pair.

Fleet Operations (Division 2)

SI VIS PACEM, PARA BELLUM

This division is responsible for all combat, and other assigned fleet operations. They are:

  1. Numbered Fleet: Large long-term permanent fleet presence in a specific region, High command will designate these areas based on importance to the Corporation. This is meant more for a Mooring fleet to a specific location.
  2. Battlegroup: To be used for large-scale extended combat operations, that require a large-scale organized effort.
  3. Task Force: To be used for significant medium to long-term combat operations to perform a specific task.
  4. Squadron: Small short-term operations

All battle groups will have two standard Task Forces. Sword, and Shield.

18th Battle Group – Sword.

They are the hard hitters, the alpha pack. They train for attack tactics, to overpower, outmaneuver, and out-think their enemy. This is the primary attack group.

24th Battle Group – Shield.

This task force focuses on defense. They will provide escort to trade convoys and high-value assets. When they’re not, they will patrol Aspirant territory enforcing our policies. Additionally, they will protect diplomatic envoys.
Note: Depending on numbers available, mission priority, and recommendations from the 18th BG leaders members will be chosen from Sword to accompany the 24th BG. Mission leaders will be chosen by pilot skills and/or rank.

More details can be found on the Corp forum.

Core Rules

Aspirant only accepts members into its ranks that are of similar personalities, goals, and values to its own. All of our members support and follow our core guild rules and anyone who cannot is removed. Our core rules and values have served us well, and continue to be the guiding principles behind moving the guild forward. Our core rules include, but are not limited to:
  1. Corp First: We expect all members to ensure that all actions they take are done in the mindset of ‘guild first’. Anything a member does reflects on the overall corporate image and all fellow members. We expect members to only take actions that reflect positively on the corporate image that we have worked very hard to build and maintain.
  2. We recruit the PERSON, not the TOON. We look for good PEOPLE not only a toon that meets a specific set of requirements.
  3. It is not permitted to relay any information outside the corporation, for any reason, at any time. Aspirant is part of a private gaming organization. We do not share information with the public except through official channels and officially sanctioned outlets. Therefore no member should reveal any information, no matter how minor they may think it is, outside the corporation.
  4. Participate In Corporate Events. Hunts, Raids, Events, and other in-game activities occur all the time. We understand people have lives and cannot live within the online world and that is ok. But if you are online, and we are having an event of some sort, you need to be there and participate in it. Actively working against the corporation on any mission could result in disciplinary action.
  5. Leadership roles in Aspirant are decided based on demonstrated ability as well as the need for a leader in a particular spot. You can be assured that your leaders are working hard to make the game more fun for you. While the reason behind every decision may not always be apparent at the moment an order is issued, all orders from officers need to be immediately followed. If errors are made, they should be reported where they will be dealt with and, if needed, changes made to the officer team. Absent those changes, all officers should be listened to.
  6. We are a TEAM of FRIENDS. Backing up your Corpmates is expected because they will do the same for you. Aspirant members understand that sometimes personal character sacrifice is needed for the team to complete a mission. We don’t view it as personal sacrifice, however, because we are helping out a friend and that is more important than loot or pixels on a screen. Games come and go.
  7. Deadweight is not needed in the corp. Failure to maintain an acceptable level of activity will result in your removal. Those who are a part of the community in other games are expected to maintain their activity requirements for their primary games.
  8. Members who cannot follow core rules and standards are removed from the corporation.

Standards Of Conduct

These standards go hand in hand with our core Corporation rules but they bear repeating so all future members understand what we expect from members. Those standards of conduct include, but are not limited to:
  1. Members may not use cheats or exploits
  2. Members may not Kill/murder other Corp members. Consensual PvP is permitted, encouraged, and a fun aspect of the corp. Cheeky shots that cause no damage are not an issue. If you cause damage, apologize, and fully pay for all losses.
  3. Upholding of all corp values and rules is required of all members. There are no exceptions whether you are a member for 10 days or 10 years. All members must maintain the values of the corp.
  4. Members need to behave in a mature, professional, team-focused manner. Self-focused, loot-focused, immature people will not be tolerated, in saying this we want our members to be well-equipped, just do it tastefully.
  5. Make friends in the corp. At our core, we are a Team Of Friends. So make friends. Those friendships make us strong.
  6. Any issues with corp policies are brought directly to the appropriate level, 1 on 1, in a meeting, or via DMs. Publicly bashing or complaining about them is not tolerated.
  7. Personal attacks on other members are not permitted. Handle issues with another player 1 on 1, in a mature professional way. Seek a Flag Officer’s help if needed but do not personally attack other members.
  8. Backstabbing, looting, stealing from, scamming, or otherwise harming other members is not permitted. It all goes back to our core value that we are a team of friends.
  9. Sexual content.. and obscene content are banned in guild channels in the game, or on TeamSpeak. Keep in mind most members are adults and can not be forced to censor their ways. However, there may be minors around so keep yourself in check. Thick skin is recommended.
  10. If a corp officer or a Senior Officer (Captain) or higher tells you to do something, do it immediately. Do not argue or complain to them and do not get nasty with them or removal will occur and you can explain to The board why you had to behave that way and should be let back in.
  11. Likewise, Those above others should not mistreat those below them. If you do, you will be meeting them on your way back down.
  12. TeamSpeak is required, and so is a Mic.

Finally, all pilots employed by Aspirant are encouraged to take private contracts from other players or NPCs. It not only increases your experience and skill as a pilot but your bank account as well.

However, there are some restrictions.
1. You will NOT attack Aspirant Pilots, Territory, or other assets. Practice and consensual PvP are fine, Just don’t cause damage, you will pay for it if you do.
2. If we have an alliance with another Corp/Org or are in the process of allying with a Corp/Org You will NOT Attack their Pilots, Territory, or other assets.

It is the pilot’s responsibility to check and verify the contracts before accepting them so that it does not breach these rules. If you are unsure if a contract violates these rules, ask your immediate superior.
