We like shiny things, but we love guns even more, and if you give us enough shiny things, we will use our guns to make your problems go away.
Beginning as a handful of friends playing Squad and throwing squad tags up to stop people trying to poach them for having a very successful track record in the game’s early days, OTS progressed and grew through collecting like minded and equally insane and capable players to become a closely knit group of friends. Fast forward a number of years later, OTS is now shifting it’s focus from a handful of friends playing together, to an org in Star Citizen with the end goal of being a mercenary force backed by an industrial mining and salvage company.
OTS’s member base consists of players collected over the years playing ArmA 2, 3, Squad, War Thunder, DCS, Hell Let Loose amongst others and now Star Citizen, with a number of our members being veterans of militaries around the world.
OTS aims to be a structured yet casual mercenary group offering a professional and heavily armed force for those in need or with enough coin. To support this end goal we run mining and eventually salvage operations and industrial vessel leasing, with a logistics network to support the whole org because it’s not fun when your gun goes click instead of bang… Ultimately our goal is to play the game and have a laugh, and a good time whilst we’re at it!
With players located around the world including but not limited to the USA, Australia and Europe, we run weekly operations on varied schedules to include as many of players as possible. Currently those operations can include:
OTS’ rules are simple and to the point, our members are expected to adhere to them when representing the org publicly.
1: Don’t be a d!ck. We all enjoy stirring each other up and a bit of banter, but don’t take it too far.
2: There is a ZERO tolerance policy on purchasing game content and currency outside of the official star citizen website as it has a number of negative impacts on the gameplay for the org, and negatively effects the SC game community as a whole.
3: No exploits or cheats, again we have a ZERO tolerance policy for anyone found to be using exploits or cheating.
4: Don’t behave in a manner that brings disrepute to the org or behave in a manner unbecoming when representing the org. We expect our members to uphold a level of professionalism within the ‘verse.
5: If you are purchasing a ship specifically for the org, and naming it, the only official prefix (eg. HMS for the Royal Navy or USS for the US Navy) will be OTS, and please run it past the admins first. Our expectations of professionalism extend to the naming of vessels and as such we won’t accept any names deemed inappropriate for our public image.
6: Members participating in org activities and ops will be expected to wear the org uniform. This is again to maintain an image of professionalism.
Note: We’re still fleshing the uniforms out a little bit, but we will make sure that you know in advance when you’re participating in the operation.
