Our Mission

Here at Onyx we aim to build a tight community of likeminded, independent and resourceful citizens to earn respect and reputation throughout the Verse as a fully-enabled freelance security team ready to take on even the most difficult of challenges. As a private military organization, we are beholden to no one and strive to achieve excellent skill and performance. As a community, we are strong.

Our goal is to acquire military and commercial contracts. In the future, we aim to diversify and expand upon our rapport among our clients. As the organization name suggests, our vision is to have the OSC function as the core of a larger consortium. Individual organizations that make up the consortium run themselves and maintain a large degree of their independence and community, including their own command structure and history. Members of the consortium will gain the ability to easily engage in cooperative operations between allied organizations and potentially tackling large scale objectives that would otherwise only be achievable by the biggest fleets, all while retaining the community, flexibility, and fun of a small organization.

What we are looking for:

Within the OSC Core, we are looking for interested and active members with common sense and a good attitude. Players looking to follow any of the professions offered in Star Citizen are welcome to apply. While we will have scheduled ops running from casual to the intense variety, hardcore gamers may need to find their fix elsewhere as we aren’t about strict protocols for events or missions. We only ask that members treat all other players with a degree of respect while under our banner and maintain good manners and proper etiquette when using organization chat and voice communications.

Organizations interested in becoming a part of the Consortium should have the following expectations & requirements.

Compatible vision and organization objectives:

We want to have fun and be able to do our own thing, but also develop connections with other player groups that extend beyond surface relations. Friends to explore the universe, to trade & work with, provide security for and achieve tough objectives.

Similar standards for member admission with respect to individual behaviour:

Being separate organizations makes this requirement less significant than for a member of the OSC Core, but its really about wanting to experience Star Citizen with like minded pilots.

Maintenance of communication channels between the OSC Core and Organization:

Capital ships are not safe in hangars. Fringe space is fraught with pirates and less savoury confrontations. Organizations in the Consortium should expect to be a part of dedicated communication channels:

• Between key members to relay crucial battle information, such as a request for assistance
• Less urgent events such as exploration or mining ops
• General contracts for various good and services.

Members will be civil and friendly with other players. You are brought on board as a recruit for a reason and will be subject to a short trial period after which, having proven yourself, you will officially join Onyx.
