Wrightway – founded by Professor Ian Benjamin Wright of Terra – is a loose collection of ships plying their trade according to the Wrightway manifesto.
Wright started his transport company, Wright Transport, by piggy backing his cargo on ships whose captains ‘owed him one’. This had the side effect of limiting the amount of cargo that could be shipped, and limiting where it could be shipped based on where the delivering ship was going. Despite this, Wright Transport was popular for its low prices. However, Wright felt that his company was losing a lot of business due to the fact that he didn’t have a manifesto. Thus he came up with the manifesto, changed the name of the company to Wrightway, bought his own ship, painted it with a logo, and started advertising heavily. His efforts paid off as the company grew.
