This Week in Star Citizen
June 15th, 2020

Happy Monday, Earthlings!

We’re into the swing of things with Alien Week, celebrating all our intragalactic neighbors in the ‘verse with enlightening posts, fascinating facts, sweet contests, and out-of-this-world deals all week long! Get the inside scoop on everything happening in the coming days with our Alien Week Overview.

We’ve kicked off two alien-inspired contests for your enjoyment. Bake, grill, or stir your way to victory by assembling an original alien-themed food item in the first-ever Intragalactic Cook-off, or take your silver tongue for a spin by concocting the perfect opening line in the First Contact Contest.

Last week, our narrative team stopped by Star Citizen Live for a special edition Alien Week Roundtable. We covered tons of your questions on the lore, history, and background of the alien races of the ‘verse, so be sure to check out the full video on YouTube.

Stop by our Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook for some alien specific goodies all week long in the form of fast facts and alien-themed recipes.

Now, let’s see what’s going on this week:

On Tuesday, the narrative team will treat us with a new Galactic Guide for the Ail’ka System.

Wednesday will bring a comm-link covering flight & combat changes coming to a ‘verse near you in Alpha 3.10. Also, the Banu are expected to deliver us a special message.

Thursday treats us to another episode of Inside Star Citizen, featuring a look into the updated art of the Scythe, Glaive, and Blade, and will also dive into an update from the team with a brand new Sprint Report.

This Friday’s Star Citizen Live is an audio-focused Roundtable! Submit your questions about the sounds of Star Citizen on Spectrum and then tune in to all the action on twitch.tv/starcitizen at 8am Pacific / 3pm UTC. You’ll also see a Roadmap update and Roundup, an update to the Subscriber Vault, and the RSI Newsletter delivered to your inbox.

Weekly Wisdom: Out-of-this-World Language Skills

Did you know that the languages spoken by our neighbors in the ‘verse actually exist? They are fully fleshed out languages, created for use in the world of Star Citizen & Squadron 42… and you can learn them!

Dive into the language of the Banu with Smoother Sailing in the Protectorate: A Rust Society Guide To Interacting with The Banu, or the language of the Xi’an with An Overview of the Xi’an Language for Diplomats: A Word from the Office of Xenolinguistic Protocol, and learn how to write your own text in those languages with font guides in our fankit.

Community MVP: June 15th, 2020

We're constantly amazed by the contributions made by the Star Citizen community. Whether it's fan art, a cinematic, YouTube guide, or even a 3D print of your favorite ship, we love it all! Every week, we select one piece of content submitted to the Community Hub and highlight it here. The highlighted content creator will be awarded an MVP badge on Spectrum and be immortalized in our MVP section of the Hub.

Don’t forget to submit your content to our Community Hub for a chance at seeing it here!

Esperia Grifter fan-concept by EPhalanx

Inspired by the avian themes founded in the recently flyable Esperia Prowler, EPhalanx modeled an incredible fan-concept for what a Tevarrin fighter ship could look like.
